Viva La Vida

This is one of my favorite songs, no matter what my mood. These kids aren't exactly Coldplay, but oh, did this rendition do my heart good after an exhausting day and all cozied up in my jammies by 8 pm. I just love their energy and spirit! Enjoy!

I Surrender All

We sang this at Good Friday service, one of the most moving, heart wrenching, and memorable services I can remember. I can't believe He died for me.

TSMSS: Million Pieces

A cranked-up house-cleaning, soup-making song for today if I've ever heard one. One of my favorites!

Soup's on today: Chipotle 15 Bean, Loaded Baked Potato, and of course, Doggy Hospice Chicken Vegetable. (linky love especially for Elaine! (((hugs))))

TSMSS:You Never Let Go

I can't get through this song without tears, and by the time it's over I feel so peaceful. Sing along with me!

TSMSS: A Parent's Prayer

This wouldn't have been my first choice of video (because it's someone elses kids!), but the song says it all, as only SCC can sing. Not sure I could make it through a wedding with this song, so it's a good thing it's not a chosen selection. Scroll down and stop my playlist first!

TSMSS: God of This City

Our praise team sang this at church a couple of weeks ago after a very powerful sermon and it's been replaying in my mind ever since. The words say it all. I swore I wouldn't miss Chris Tomlin if he ever came close to here for a concert, but sadly he'll be 45 miles away in a couple of weeks and I won't get to hear him :(

TSMSS: God Will Make a Way

I can't say it better than Don Moen does. God will indeed make a way when there absolutely seems to be no other. (Scroll down and stop my playlist first).

TSMSS: Came to My Rescue

I've blogged about the words to this song before, but never actually posted it. It seems when things are heavy on my heart and I'm in need of a spiritual and/or emotional rescue, this is the first song that comes to mind. Enjoy. (Scroll down and turn off my music first!)

Then Sings My Soul Saturdays: The Peace Carol

I'm going retro with the only song that seems appropriate for my day: John Denver and the Muppets sing "The Peace Carol." (Sorry, no video embedding was available; scroll down to turn off my playlist). We had the album (yes, the vinyl kind) when the kids were little and my eldest son would cry whenever he heard this song, even as young as 2. And every year hence. I pray he gets his passion for the Lord back in his heart like he had back then. The kind that brings him to tears.

I'm still banking on the fact that this song would make him cry nearly 30 years later. I know it makes my tears flow.
